1.) Gain a good understanding of weight loss nutrition. When it comes to health and fitness and weight loss in general, nutrition is definitely the most important factor to your success. Even if you get everything else wrong (you won’t providing your keep reading this website!), as long as your weight loss nutrition strategy is grounded in the basics, you will lose weight.
Find out what protein, carbohydrates and fats are and what they do in your body. When it comes to nutritional education, knowledge is power. Learn how calories work. And grasp an understand of why proper nutrition is essential to your fat loss goals.
2.) Start A Weight Loss Nutrition Journal – Once you have a good understanding of the overall weight loss nutrition basics, get in the habit of logging your meals. Keep impeccable records of what you eat, when you eat it and how much you are eating. This is indispensable information if you really want to lose weight naturally.
Your nutrition log will be the backbone of your entire weight loss strategy, allowing you to make the necessary changes to your diet when needed. This tool takes you from the back streets of weight loss purgatory and propels you towards better choices and in turn more natural weight loss until one day you realize that you’ve actually achieved your weight loss goals.
3.) Eat 5 -6 small but nutritionally dense meals each day, spaced out every 2 -3 hours. This keeps your body burning calories to digest the nutrients as well as providing your body a source for high quality nutrition.
4.) Assuming your eating more than 1200 calories per day, Cut out 250 – 500 calories per day from your current diet. If you’re currently eating less than 1200 calories per day take a look at this.
While this level of calorie reduction is moderate, it’s more realistic for the majority of people out there. With a moderate calorie reduction in this neighborhood you can expect to drop .5 to 1 lb a week from restructuring your diet alone!

6.) Live an overall active lifestyle. Get off of the couch and live an active and fun lifestyle that promotes activity and movement. Pass on the elevator and take the stairs. Instead of taking your car – walk to the grocery store. Instead of watching T.V. grab your kids and go for a hike! You get the picture – Just keep your body moving as much a possible!
7.) Pass on unhealthy snacks and junk food. It’s ok to snack between major meals, (although most of the time switching up to 5 – 6 meals a day takes care of the urge to snack) just make sure that it’s nutritious and healthy as opposed to fried and fattening.
